School assignment...a multimedia bug project to follow up the first one --> [link]
Photocopy transfers of dead grasshoppers and moths and such on 18x24" watercolor paper. This is basically the beginning of the process I used: [link] After putting the gel medium on the copy and the watercolor paper I stuck them together and let them dry for a day at a time. I rubbed the excess paper away, leaving the ink on the paper! My fingers hurt and I have no finger print now! May I join the men in black please? The last step was a watercolor wash (pink and yellow) and putting salt all over the paper to create a more interesting texture. |
